Great question! We have put our list together with simplicity in mind. We include a total gross weekly rate, taxable hourly rate, weekly stipends, overtime rates, and gap rates (when applicable) in our quotes. For additional clarity, theses rates are explained as follows:
- Total Gross Weekly rate —this is your total weekly pay, given you are strictly working guaranteed hours.
- ex. If 32 hours are guaranteed each week, this is the rate for 32 hours.
- Weekly Stipends —this amount is calculated based on allowable amounts depending on GSA.gov standards for regional stipend allowances
- Taxable hourly rate —this is the taxable rate you earn during your guaranteed hours
- We arrive at this amount by subtracting your Weekly Stipends from your Total Gross Weekly rate distributed over guaranteed hours.
- (Total Gross Weekly – Weekly Stipends) / Guaranteed Hours = Taxable Hourly Rate
- Gap rate –this is the pay rate for hours greater than guaranteed hours and before overtime
- For example, on a 36 guaranteed hour contract, the gap rate is paid for hours 36.01 – 40.
We believe it is best to submit everything ASAP, including your application, your resume, your specialty, where you are looking to travel, and when you would like to start. This allows us to build your profile and call your references without a rush. After that is completed, the average time from submission to interview is about one week. If you allow two to three additional weeks for standard-paced credentialing, we end up at a month from the time you choose the positions you want to be submitted to until your start date. This process can be faster when needed, this is just the optimal time frame.
We do, in a way. When setting our travel nurse pay rates, we put all available money on the table, so any additional costs for the assignment (other than those we’ve addressed here) like flights or mileage will always be paid as an increase in non-taxable pay, but your gross pay will remain. If, however, you need the reimbursement right away to afford a flight, let us know and we will reimburse you for your flight on your first paycheck and disburse the cost over an agreed upon period to minimize the impact on your budget.
Yes, we do! We are aligned with a corporate housing broker that can arrange all sorts of housing for our travelers, including customizable furniture, housewares, and electronics options. Their focus is on healthcare travelers, and they have been in this business for more than 20 years. Nurse2Nurse Staffing will never profit on your housing, so you get the cheapest rates possible.
Electing to use our housing will not affect your hourly or overtime rates, as the cost of housing is passed directly on to you as a weekly cost after your pay rate. We sure will! Forward the receipt to us, and we’ll reimburse you up to $100 per 13-week travel RN job.
Absolutely! At Nurse2Nurse Staffing, we are huge proponents of specialty certification. We will also reimburse you for your BLS, ACLS, PALS, and the like.
Yes. Please submit the receipt and it will be reimbursed on your first paycheck.
Yes, we do! We have a selection of insurance policies to choose from. We also offer dental and vision insurance plans along with several other optional insurance policies. We offer extension bonuses of $500! Extension bonuses are paid for extending a 13-week contract at the same facility for another 13 weeks.
